An Interview with Pete Donahue – VP of Operations
What is your title?
VP of Operations
What do you do at Alchemy3?
I support the Sales Team and the overall efforts of Alchemy3 to make sure that all of our programs are executed well for our partners.
If you weren’t working at Alchemy3, what would you be doing?
Well, my preference would be a professional baseball player or golfer, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Seriously though, I think I would have enjoyed a career as a teacher.
What motto do you live by?
Work hard, play hard. Be kind to people and help out whenever you can.
What do you like best about your job?
I love working with so many great people I’ve met over the years. I enjoy drawing on my experiences, learning new ways to do things and collaborating with teams to achieve objectives.
What time do you get up? And how many times do you hit the snooze button?
Weekdays, I’m typically up at 6. No alarm. Not much different on the weekends, but I do enjoy lounging in bed if there’s nothing pressing in need to get to.
How do you take your coffee?
Hot coffee – cream only
When you aren’t working, what are you doing?
Spending time with family & friends is my favorite thing. In the summer, I love playing golf, paddle boarding and hiking. I also love a good home improvement project.
Tell us about your family.
I have two incredible kids. My son Patrick (27) lives in Denver now and I love to go out and visit whenever I can. My daughter Rachel (37) lives only a few miles away. She has awesome 2 kids – Lando (9) & Brynn (7) – we do all kinds of fun stuff together. I live with my girlfriend Andrea – she also has 2 grandchildren (yes – we are very young grandparents) – we have a blast doing all kinds of fun adventures with the kids!
I’m the youngest of 4 (2 sisters and a brother who all live locally in CT) – my dad is still with us, and we spend as much time as possible with him.
What show are you obsessed with right now?
Absolutely loved Ted Lasso, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and Schitt’s Creek. Currently, looking for what’s next.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can instantly make my kids & grandkids cringe with a terrible dad joke.
One snack we would find in your kitchen?
Oreos, ice cream & Carmel popcorn.
What is your dream vacation?
Ireland is up there right now followed closely by Hawaii
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Glory Days – Springsteen
